Remove Another Rogue Anti-Spyware Virus Shield 2009 – Without Software

This time we are posting another article on another Rogue Anti-Spyware i.e Virus Shield 2009. “Virus Shield 2009″ also works same as “WinPC Defender”, it basically generates misleading pop-up windows and fake error messages attempting to scare the user and hopping that he will purchase a license of “Virus Shield 2009″.

Follow the below tutorial to kick off this Anti-Spyware “Virus Shield 2009“:

1. Kill the Below process (by using Task manager or Task Killer Software )
VSHIELD.exe
ReleaseXP.exe

2. Delete the following registry entries (By using Registry Editor)
a) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Virus Shield
b) HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\VSHIELD.DocHostUIHandler
c) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Run “Virus Shield 2009? VShield.DocHostUIHandler

3. Search and delete the following files
==> Virus Shield 2009.lnk
==> Virus Shield 2009
==> ChkDisk.dll
==> ReleaseXP.exe
==> VSHIELD.exe

NOTE: Use on your own risk, we will not be responsible when you delete a wrong registry entry as a simple mistake on registry entry may lead to fatal error on your system.
