A Beginners Guide on How to Remove Malicious Scripts and files
The only purpose of writing this Article is to let users easily remove Malicious Scripts and files from their PC. This article will help you to know how to Delete and kill processes associated with any particular malicious Scripts. If you want to reve malware then you have to follow the process. Mainly the Process of Removing Malicious Scripts and files is very complex. It involves upto 4 steps, these steps are:
1.) Kill the Malicious Process
2.) Delete Registry Entries
3.) Unregister Harmful DLL
4.) Delete Malicious Files
1.) How to kill the Malicious Processes:
To Kill Malicious Processes you can use either Windows Task Manager.
a.) Using Windows Task Manager:
Any time Just Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc, This will open Windows Task manager. Now in task Manager go to Procesess Bar > Select any processes then Click on End process to Kill.
b.) Using Task Killer Software:
Once you have Downloaded & installed Task Killer Software, Run Task Killer Software, now you will be able to see a red Icon on your taskbar (near to clock). Just Click on icon & Go to processes and select any process to Kill.
2.) How to delete Malicious Registry Entries:
Many of the Malicious programs try to modify the Windows registry. These Malicious programs cannot be removed completely from your system unless you delete these registry keys. Modification of the Windows Registry is a bit dangerous process, but if you are careful and know what exactly is to be done, then it is very useful.
Click on Start > Run > Regedit
This will open Windows Registry Editor, Now navigate through the menu on the left pane to the desired registry entry, and delete or modify it as required.
3.) How to Unregister Harmful DLL:
Many of the complex Malicious Programs use DLL files to execute certain harmful functions and required by threats to work as intended. You have to know which are the DLL files associated with the Malicious programs, unregister them and then simply delete them.
For this purpose, you can use the default tool regsvr32, which is part of the Windows program and can be accessed through Command Prompt.
Click on Start > Run > type “cmd” & press OK to open Command prompt.
In Command prompt type regsvr32 /u [dll_name] and press enter to unregister the DLL. If you accidentally do something wrong, you can register it again by using regsvr32 [dll_name].
4.) How to Delete Malicious Files:
Malicious Programs are designed to hide themselves. You have to find them to remove them. If possible Remove the visible Malicious files through Windows Explorer and Make the hidden Malicious files visible and then delete them through Windows Explorer.
