Disable new User Registration in WordPress – PhpMyAdmin

There are lots of users who are getting spam registration on their wordpress blog. To avoid spam registration, I am going to share a trick, which will avoid new user registration in your WordPress Blog. This will also help in increase the security of your wordpress blog. Just Follow the trick below:

1. Open Cpanel, and navigate to PhpMyAdmin (In Database Menu).

2. Open PhpMyAdmin, and navigate to your Blog Database (from left side).

3. Now Select & browse “wp_options“.

4. In “wp_options” select and Edit “users_can_register“.

5. Above of “Go” button you will see “yes“, make it “no” and Press Go.

That’s It. Now You can check it by going to: www.yourblog.com/wp-register.php
