5 Firefox Addons to Take Webpage Screenshot
Many of us often take screenshots of web pages for several reasons – when designing a page, debugging a web application. Usually, though, only a portion of the screenshot is actually relevant to the user’s purpose, leading to a large portion of the image getting cropped. This can be time consuming, and annoying at times. Here I’ve compiled a list of 5 Firefox Addons to take screenshot of Webpages:
1. Screengrab: It will capture what you can see in the window, the entire page, just a selection, a particular frame… basically it saves webpages as images – either to a file, or to the clipboard.
2. Pict Uploader: The Pict.com FireFox Add-on integrates with Mozilla FireFox Web browser and allows you to make screenshots with one click and automatically upload them to Pict.com image hosting. It also makes it possible right-click and upload any image you see online or your local image with automatic link generation for forums, websites, etc.
3. FireShot: FireShot is a Firefox extension that creates screenshots of web pages (entirely or just visible part).
Unlike other extensions, this plugin provides a set of editing and annotation tools, which let users quickly modify web captures and insert text annotations and graphical annotations. Such functionality will be especially useful for web designers, testers and content reviewers.
4. Grab Them All: GrabThemAll extension takes screenshot of sites specified in external file and write them as JPG or PNG file to selected directory. URLs of sites to shot must be written in *.txt file and start with http:// or https:// prefix, URL separated by new line sign.
5. Snapper: Snapper allows users to designate an area of a web page for a focused snapshot, cutting out the additional work needed for cropping unnecessarily information.
